Types of Volunteers:

EMS:
Our EMS Only members serve the public when a medical emergency arises. They are trained from an ambulance driver to an Emergency Medical Technician I,II, and III. Because 80% of all calls are medical, these members play a vital role in our department. EMS Only members are also trained in a support role on a fire scene.

Live-ins:
CGFR Offers free housing opportunities for volunteers interested in living in one of our fire stations. Members involved in this program must pull a total of 10 shifts per month and perform apparatus checks and station maintenance. Members in this program also have a time line to complete apparatus driver check offs.
