CGFR History

CGFR was formed when two early fire departments joined forces in 1980. Two parcels were donated by Niilo Koponen and Ivan Vail on Chena Ridge and on Murphy Dome Roads. These parcels became the sites of our first fire stations. The Borough built our third station at the intersection of Potter and Becker Ridge Roads. Volunteers built the fourth station on the Fox end of Goldstream Road.
