Engine 42 and Engine 43 are the newest apparatus at CGFR and serve as the front-line engine’s out of station 42 and 43. They are equipped with a hydraulic 4-wheel drive system which allows them to sit lower to the ground and easily navigate the narrow hilly roads of Fairbanks area. As well as a full complement of equipment for structure fires, the twin engines are provisioned with wildland gear during the summer months.
