Tanker 43 is currently the oldest fire truck at CGFR although it isn’t in service anymore, having been replaced by recently purchased newer apparatus. It was custom-fabricated by the Borough shops in the 1980s. The tanker was assembled on a 1977 Ford LT 9000 Chassis and powered with a Detroit Diesel Engine. It wasn’t returned to the borough because it was not purchased with borough funds.
