Andrea Gelvin

Retired health science high school teacher, Lt. Andrea Gelvin cannot stop teaching and volunteering. She has served CGFR for the past 10 years. When first starting out as an EMT, Lt. Gelvin never imagined she would one day single-handedly be putting out a car fire or bringing a diabetic patient back to life, yet over the years she has done that and more. Lt. Gelvin volunteers countless hours helping new recruits as CGFR’s Recruit Coordinator and is a tireless advocate encouraging others to get involved in the field of health and emergency services. Lt. Gelvin reflects about her time at CGFR that she is “Having the time of her life, and wouldn’t rather be doing anything else in the world.”
